The Copper Photogravure 18X40
This press is designed specifically for the Photogravure artist. This press design is based on everything I wanted in a press build custom for Photogravure and Mezzotint printing. It will take on every other printing practice with ease. Robust and designed for a lifetime of precision.
Heavy steel everything included framework, cylinders, and handles. Completely loaded for a lifetime of the heaviest of pressures including photogravure, photopolymer gravure, photo-engraving, mezzotint, and traditional engraving editioning. This press will even print photo-litho plates!!!
High precision for high and low pressure in case you want to dial in your press for the gentlest of blind embossing. Extremely rigid using the highest quality of steels and industrial grade bearings.

5” Diameter Top buttressed cylinder nickel plated. Upgrade to the optional 6" and 7" Cylinders (optional 8” top cylinder or solid steel top cylinders in any diameter available by request)
4” Diameter Bottom Cylinder
Precision blanchard ground 1/2” thick steel bed (reversible for lifetime use and accuracy)
4140 chromoly steel T-Slip Handle, black phenolic handle for better grip, our unique Alpha-Numeric calibration system, and extra large handles for torque under pressure
5:1 Gear reduction or optional 6:1 Gear reduction
Our 16” Counterweight handle or upgrade to our 16” Captains Wheel or 30" Captains Wheel
Black Oxide surface coating or upgrade to our Industrial Powder Coating surface treatment (your choice of colour for powder coating from our available colours)
